How to Self-Love
Today, most people either lack or don’t know how to love themselves. Self-love, as simple as it sounds, is not that easy to acquire. So, here’s a rundown on how to properly self-love:
1. Accept and forgive.
To begin, you must learn to forgive yourself. You must realize that everyone makes mistakes and that this is natural. Accept and forgive your previous faults or unpleasant situations in order to love yourself. It’s not easy, but it’s a major step toward self-love.
2. Self-trust.
You must first trust yourself before you can begin to love yourself. Most people would say, “Of course I trust myself,” but not everyone knows what that means. Believing involves trusting your feelings, your gut sense, and your own intuition. When someone tries to persuade you of anything but your gut feeling tells you the opposite, you better listen to your gut instinct!
3. Don’t forget to tap yourself on the shoulder!
Sound strange, doesn’t it? But it truly matters when you’re trying to love yourself. What this means is that you should give yourself credit when credit is deserved. Allow yourself to feel proud of what you’ve done via your own effort and mental courage! Let yourself know when you’ve accomplished your target! So don’t forget to tap yourself on the shoulder!
